Bills lead 3-0 at end of first quarter

Posted by Teresa Varley on November 10, 2013 – 1:36 pm

The Bills got on the board first after their defense set them up with great field position. Free safety Jairus Byrd intercepted Ben Roethlisberger and returned it 57-yards to the Steelers 29-yard line. The Bills moved the ball down to the one-yard line, but the defense kept them out of the end zone. Kicker Dan Carpenter hit a 20-yard field goal, capping a nine-play, 28-yard drive for a 3-0 Bills lead.

The Steelers offense was stopped on their next two drives of the first quarter, going three-and-out on both possessions.

End of First Quarter: Steelers 0, Bills 3
