Steelers fans plentiful in London

Posted by Teresa Varley on September 27, 2013 – 3:02 pm

Steelers’ fans can be seen all over London and the team even met some before they even arrived at their hotel in London.

Ben Haslam, who lives in London but his wife’s family is from the Pittsburgh area, worked on the train the team took from Gatwick Airport to London this morning. Haslam, who has traveled from the UK for six games at Heinz Field, was thrilled to meet players and coaches.

“It’s awesome,” said Haslam. “I got to shake the hands of Coach Mike Tomlin, Dan Rooney, and Ben Roethlisberger. I am overwhelmed but I am trying to keep it in.”

Other fans were all around the city, getting pictures with players and coaches. And as you can see some staff tried to convert a few Vikings fans into Steelers fans.

Ben is a great guy and friend! Very happy he gets to watch the Steelers from his home country today! Looking forward to catching him at a game at Heinz Field and/or in South Side again soon!
