Former Steelers’ wide receiver Hines Ward made a guest appearance on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” but you would have to watch closely to know it was him.

Ward underwent a transformation to be a zombie on the show, which aired on Sunday night.

“It was an amazing experience,” said Ward. “Just being in makeup preparing me for my role was cool. I actually scared myself when I looked in the mirror for the first time after.”

Ward previously appeared on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” and the Food Network show “Rachael vs. Guy,” as well as having a cameo in “The Dark Knight Rises,” in a scene filmed at Heinz Field.

I believe Hines will be able to find work in anything he chooses. I just wish they’d have included scenes where Hines could have looked like he was pass blocking. Watching a zombie bowl people over would have been a real treat.

So I’m guessing he was the zombie that looked through the hole in the Woodbury fence…

I would like to see Hines play for our Steelers this year, I think that he should have been resigned. He could certainly contribute to our success, based on what our receivers did last year we could use his stability and sure hands, not to mention his worth in the dressing room.

Now it’s out Hines you can do anything. It is realy refreshing to hear a player is doing something other then getting in trouble. Please keep going on your march. Turning it around for the fans. Wish other players are taking notes.

Minor correction…Hines is not a “former” Steeler. He is a Steeler for life! Go Black & Gold!
