Best big back of all time, finished career as the 5th leading rusher of all time — 5th!!!, has always been a HOF person, nothing phony about him, did whatever was asked whether starting or backing up, respected by teammates and opponents alike. Michael Irvin made it in his 3rd year as finalist; Bettis deserved to beat this – opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of human decency!
