Steelers Practice Report – 11-8

Posted by Teresa Varley on November 8, 2012 – 4:04 pm

As expected three players didn’t practice on Thursday, including receiver Antonio Brown (ankle), safety Troy Polamalu (calf), and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring).

Tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) took part in a limited basis, while running backs Jonathan Dwyer (quadriceps) and Chris Rainey (rib) and kick Shaun Suisham (left ankle) were full participants.

Became a steelers fan when surfing the channels one day. I came across a
Steeler’s game. The Steelers were 1-13 that year, but what caught my eye was
a rookie named Joe Greene. He sacked the QB, they double teamed him, and he
still sacked the QB. They triple teamed him and he sacked the QB twice more.I
was hooked – Steeler Defense made me a super fan.

Also, I will never forget an interview with Jack Ham, the season following the
Super Bowl victory over the Rams. The Steelers were losing big, and Jack Ham
stated that they were getting old.

Applying Ham’s comment to this year, I worry about Troy. James Harrison
and Lamar still aren’t full strength. We have been unbelieveably blessed with
Rashrd, Isaac, and Jonathan Dwyer – due mainly to an offensive line that has
really stepped up – despite injuries.

I,m drawing a comparison here with old and current Steelers, because when
Jack Ham made that statement – no one stepped up. These current Steelers
have not only re-established winning ways, but can you imagine what we’ll
be like if everyone gets healthy? We’re improving each week and our
upcoming contests with the Ravens will determine our destiny. GO STEELERS!

Troy is hoping to be back for the Ravens game!! He tore his calf,,,that is what’s wrong with it!! We are still getting these wins because we have a team of fighters!! As said above…one gets hurt…we have another stepping up to handle their business!!! LOVE THE STEELERS!!! We got this!!! To the injured gentlemen….Get better guys….we miss you out there!!!
