Steelers brings smiles to kids

The Steelers hosted Variety the Children’s Charity at camp on Thursday, giving the kids a chance to meet some of their favorite Steelers players after practice and bringing huge smiles to their faces.

“Just look at these kids,” said Sandra Thompson, Director of Programs and Outreach for Variety. “This wouldn’t be easy for their parents to do it on their own. For us to be able to have them get close to the players is a memory they will never forget. They will have something like this that most other kids won’t have. It’s an amazing opportunity and something they won’t soon forget.”

“It means the world. One family when I called them was jumping through the phone for the opportunity. It means the world to them.”
