Way to go, Dolphins

Posted by Bob Labriola on April 26, 2012 – 9:16 pm

It has been a subject of much speculation for weeks, that being whether the Miami Dolphins would pick QB Ryan Tannehill with their No. 1 pick, the 8th overall. For the Steelers, it’s a good thing the Dolphins picked Tannehill, for no other reason than the Steelers are happy every time a quarterback is selected ahead of their 24th pick in the first round. The reason for that is that it pushes all of the other players down another slot, because the Steelers won’t pick a quarterback on the first round.

Maybe the Steelers get really lucky and a team above them reaches for Stanford TE Coby Fleener. That would serve the same purpose — to push the other guys down another slot.

Look I am thrilled with our first three picks. But Dixon, Batch and Leftwich have left a bad taste in my mouth for backup to Big Ben. Maybe in Rnd 4 we could get Cousins or another comparable QB to bring up behind Ben. just asking though. wouldnt claim to be an authority or anything, Just real tired of seeing Ben grind out an injury he should have nursed to health. but couldnt because Batch was the only guy left.

Just got done watching the NFL channel story about Aaron Smith & wanted to thank them & Steve Sable for recognizing & showing a story about a unsung hero. Someone who like the average man goes through adversity & life changing situations. It is Super that they recognize how important a story & inspiration that Aaron Smith & his family are to the world. In this day of me me look & listen to me Aaron shows the true spirit of the common man in his day to day struggles. It was inspirational & good to hear that Elija & the Smiths are doing well & fighting & inspiring others to do so. God bless him & his family.
